J.R. Home Ranch is located in the Redlands, also known as Miami’s countryside. The Redlands is a historic and plentiful agricultural hub, filled with off-the-beaten-path activities and rare sights. Located minutes away from hospitals, shopping centers, gyms, restaurants and schools, it makes a great place to call home. Our mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities by providing an alternative home setting, and promoting life enrichment skills in a nurturing, friendly and safe environment. We intent to empower individuals with developmental disabilities in an environment where consumers choices and rights will be respected and implemented at all times, providing opportunities for growth and personal fulfillment.
J.R. Home Ranch #1, Inc. lays on 4.75 acres of land, has 20 stables, a round pen, a recreational area with an oversized Tiki Hut (20’ x 30’) and an extended food bar. The ranch is fully fenced and has a couple of large concrete slabs. Our set up is ideal for parties, social events, vocational training, employment opportunities and therapeutic services.
The group home has six bedrooms allowing each consumer to have their own bed room. The home has 2,170 sq. feet of living space. There are 4 bedrooms with spacious closet space, three full bathrooms, large office with built in cabinets, laundry room, several storage closets, oversized dining and family room and an over-sized living room. The house is fully tiled and painted in warm colors. It has central air conditioner all appliances are in excellent condition. All of the entryways and door are designed to accommodate handicapped individuals as well as a ramp at the front of the house.
Vocational Training and Employment Opportunities will be offered for: horticulture, food sales, party services, animal care, landscaping, janitorial and clerical.
This will allow them to become productive citizens in the community and giving them the opportunities to earn money.
